Lea Quortrup,

soprano

Lea Quortrup is a classical singer, educated at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and at the Royal Danish Opera Academy in Copenhagen with Prof. Kirsten Buhl-Møller. She graduated in 2015. Lea made her debut at the Royal Theatre in the role of Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni with Concerto Copenhagen. During her years at the Academy, she performed with several professional orchestras, for example, as a soloist in Mozart’s Requiem with the Danish National Chamber Orchestra, dir. Adam Fischer and with the Leipziger Chamber Orchestra, dir. Morten Schuldt-Jensen.

In the autumn of 2015, she received a residency in Rome to study the Italian language and the art of Bel Canto.  

Lea received the Sonning Music Prize for young talents in the spring of 2016.
