Jonas Skaarud (b. 1990) (NO)
Jonas Skaarud (b. 1990) is a norwegian composer living in Oslo, Norway, who writes acoustic music that is quiet, fragile, abrupt and unfinished.
He holds a BA in composition from The Norwegian Academy of Music, Oslo and from The Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest and is currently taking his MA in composition at the former.
Shapes, Book I consists of small and at times microscopic or object-like shapes, abruptly and less abruptly shifting back and forth between one another, sometimes returning in the same form, sometimes as something new, and other times not returning at all. The order of the shapes is chosen by the performers. For alto flute and accordion (original version for tenor-recorder and accordion).
